Weds 08 Feb 2012 Loan Watch
JOHN FLECK could be set for an FA Cup showdown with former team mates Nikica Jelavic after Blackpool secured their place in the fifth round last night. The Seasiders cruised to a 3-0 win in their replay with Sheffield Wednesday, with Fleck back on the bench as Ian Holloway again shuffled his pack against the League One side. He was introduced after 64 minutes, with the Tangerines already three goals to the good and effectively in the next round. The young Rangers midfielder will now hope to return to the starting XI as Blackpool get back to league business with a double header against Portsmouth on Saturday and Doncaster on Tuesday. And Fleck will be eager to impress as he bids to earn a starting spot away to Everton on February 18. Fleck wasn't the only loan Ranger in action last night as Kyle Hutton also made his bow for Dunfermline in their 1-1 home draw with Kilmarnock. Hutton was straight in from the start, with former Ger Jordan McMillan also making his debut as the draw saw the Pars move level on points with Hibs ahead of the visit of the Light Blues on Saturday. Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre was pleased by the contribution of his two new recruits. He said: "You could see that they had good quality. I thought McMillan used the ball very well and in the first half had a couple of good balls into the striker. He looked to get forward and showed a lot of tenacity. "Kyle has got composure in the middle park and the two of them will get better with the more games that they get. "They have not had a lot of first team action but they will get stronger and stronger to the benefit of the team." NEXT UP Latest News headlines
