ALEJANDRO BEDOYA is aiming to offer his manager options by returning from an ankle knock quicker than expected.

The American international has been side-lined since turning his ankle in a closed door game against Carlisle at Murray Park three weeks ago.

However, after returning to light training Bedoya is eager to offer some creativity to his boss after settling in Scotland.

He said: I'm looking to get back as soon as possible and hopefully it will only be another week or two.

"It's been a rough start with injuries keeping me from being involved and just when I thought I was turning a corner and doing well in training and performing well in bounce games I get another injury.

"The team could definitely use some more players and everyone is working hard to get back fit and get some more competition in the squad.

"I think if you ask the gaffer and the coaches they would say they were pleased with the way I was training and playing in the closed doors games.

"Just when I thought I was settling in another injury knocked me back, so it's frustrating but it's just part of being a footballer and you have to keep moving on.

"Now it's important that I do everything that much better and make sure that I get back stronger. The rehab has been good so far so hopefully we can quicken up the process."

With a history of creating and scoring goals for Orebro before his arrival in Glasgow in the summer, Bedoya is keen to offer some spark to the Light Blue on his return.

He added: "In the bounce games before I was injured I was doing well and had some real success in that position just behind the striker. I think that suits me well.

"It's a role that Sone Aluko has played well in recently and it's one that I think I can fill too so hopefully when I'm fit I can fight for a spot there.

"I was doing well there in the bounce games and combining well with the striker to get some goals and help out with some assists too.

"The way we are playing at the moment that position is there, but I'll happily play wherever I'm asked to and being versatile is one of my assets."
