KIRK BROADFOOT and Kane Hemmings have returned to full training at Murray Park this week and could be back in Ally McCoist's plans for Saturday's SPL clash against Dunfermline.

The news will be a boost for the manager ahead of the trip to East End Park as the light blues target three crucial points in Fife.

Broadfoot's last first-team appearance was against Celtic at Parkhead on December 28 while Hemmings has endured two frustrating months out of action as he recovered from his latest injury setback.

First-team coach Ian Durrant is delight to see them making good progress and believes both can play a big part in forthcoming fixtures.

He said: "Kane and Kirk are back with us now so that's two more bodies we've got to add to the squad which can only be a good thing.

"They have been working hard and are clearly desperate to get back playing.

"That's good to see especially as we have a big month ahead now.

"We have three really important SPL coming up in February and our target is to take nine points.

"That's the challenge for us and the more players the manager has available to him the better."
